Hello Friends! Taylor Writing! :)
I recently have been playing around with the idea of stop motion within photography. To me it is a very neat thing to capture because it gives off a cool effect of something or someone being frozen in time and can give a surreal affect by showing you something the human eye typically doesn't see.
To shoot movement you typically need a fast shutter speed because it will allow your main subject to become frozen. Doing this also will allow what ever your subject is doing to appear like it has been stopped in time whether that's jumping, running or anything in between.
There are three different kinds of motion i have been shooting:
1. Panning, which gives off the effect of the subject matter moving and the background being blurred.
2. Long Exposure, which can give off a cool effect for things like light streams, or make people appear ghost like.
3. Stop Motion, which is explained above as freezing motion.
Here are a few photos bellow of my attempt to shoot stop motion.
